The mission of the Public Health Division is to protect and promote the health of the Lowell community, including residents, those who work in the city, and visitors to Lowell. We look at the population as a whole to identify and address trends that affect the health of the community. The Public Health Division also ensures that the City of Lowell meets all the public health requirements mandated by state and national law.
The Public Health Division includes the Public Health Nurse Manager, three public health nurses, and three health educators. We extend our reach and effectiveness by building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with other safety and health organizations throughout the area.
