Notice of Availability and Public Hearing
City of Lowell Announces the Availability of the Draft 2006-2007 Annual Action Plan and Public Hearing
The Draft Plan will be available for review and public comment for a period of 30-days, beginning March 27, 2006 and ending April 28, 2006. All written comments received will be included in the Final Plan sent to HUD along with the City’s responses.
The public may examine electronic copies of the Draft Plans at www.lowellma.gov. Printed copies of the document are available for public review from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Division of Planning and Development, JFK Civic Center, Second Floor, 50 Arcand Drive; at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 375 Merrimack St., and at the Pollard Memorial Library, 401 Merrimack St. during normal operating hours.
Written comments may be submitted to Adam Baacke, Deputy Director, Division of Planning and Development, 50 Arcand Drive, Lowell, MA 01852, faxed to 978-446-7014, or emailed to abaacke@lowellma.gov. For consideration, comments must be received no later than April 28, 2006 at 5:00 PM
Please note: the Draft Plan is subject to change and requires approval by the Lowell City Council. Applicants will be notified in writing by June 2006 of the final awards for FY 2006-07. Applicants must not assume their proposal has been accepted for funding until they have received written notification from the City.
The City of Lowell, Division of Planning and Development (DPD) will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday April 6, 2006, at 6 PM at the Lowell Senior Center to review the Draft Plan. Interested persons are encouraged to attend and may provide testimony regarding the document.
Interpreters for non-English speaking or hearing-impaired residents will be provided if requested at least four (4) business days prior to the scheduled hearing. Contact the DPD at 978-970-4262.
