SUBJECT:       CC Motion of 08.05.06 BY C.Kazanjian

 “Request the Manager have the department of public works provide the andover street sidewakl master plan”

In regards to the above-mentioned motion, TJ McCarthy, Assistant Manager/DPW Operations has met with Lisa DeMeo, City Engineer to evaluate the current sidewalk conditions and prepare a cost estimate for repairing/installing sidewalks on both sides of Andover Street.

Below are the preliminary estimates for such project:

           Excavate/remove existing sidewalk and replace with new 5’ wide sidewalk      $420,000

           Curb removal/reset at wheelchair ramps (only)                                                            $  18,000

           Adjust water gates/loam and seed                                                                               $  18,000

This estimate will be included in the Department of Public Work’s Capital Plan in future updates to the City of Lowelll Master Capital Plan.  Please contact me with any questions.
