SUBJECT: COUNCIL MOTION OF 4/22/08 BY M. CAULFIELD
“REQUEST THE MANAGER HAVE THE BUILDING INSPECTOR INSPECT THE BUILDING @
STEVENS &ALBERT STS.”
___________________________________________________________________________
Regarding the above referenced matter, since the Mayor’s motion was filed the Inspectional Services Department has inspected the subject property on several occasions and has spoken with the owner or owner’s representatives. A substantial improvement has taken place as a result of the efforts by Inspectional Services. All trailers have been removed from the site and the owner is discarding worthless material from the building. It was most recently inspected on June 2, 2008. At the June 2 inspection, an employee informed Kathy Murphy of the Inspectional Services Department that all of the motors and assorted metals were removed the week of May 26, 2008. The large silver milking machine has been purchased and will be removed from the site in the next week or so. Another dumpster has been ordered and should arrive by the end of the week to be filled with what remains on the site and in the building. The remaining items of value will be moved inside the building once the rest of the items are removed. The grass on the side of the lot was cut and the lot raked. The employee told Inspector Murphy that he expects the entire lot to be clean and neat in a week to ten days. I will keep the Council informed of any new developments with respect to this property.
Please contact me if I can provide additional information in this regard.
