LRWWU Public Notice Street Construction

The City of Lowell is undertaking sewer separation work during the summer months to lessen the traffic disruption on the cities school system. Work hours will be from 7 to 5 Monday through Thursday until August 27th 2009. Major streets will be open to local businesses and residents, emergency vehicles, trash pickup and city / school buses only. Local side streets will be closed at both ends and traffic will be detoured along parallel streets. Residents only will be allowed to pass. Lowell police officers will be stationed at either end of the detours with a third officer assigned to the crew to aid with the traffic flow.
