Edward J. Kennedy
City Councilor Edward J. Kennedy served on the Lowell City Council for four terms from 1978 to 1985. In 2011, he was elected to a fifth term on the Lowell City Council.
Councilor Kennedy is a lifelong resident of Lowell and resides in the Belvidere section of the city. He is a graduate of Boston University and holds a masters degree in public administration from Framingham State University. He is self-employed as a commercial real estate appraiser.
Councilor Kennedy serves on the City Council Subcommittees for Economic Development, Educational Partnerships, Housing, Personnel, Transportation and Auditor and Clerk Oversight. He also serves as chairman of the City Council Subcommittees for Rules and Municipal Facilities.
