American-Southeast Asian Literacy & Educational Counseling, Inc.
A non-profit organization which provides services in general educational counseling to children, parents, and other adults. This organization also develops texts in Southeast Asian languages in any academic areas including, but not limits to, poems, novels, fiction & nonfiction stories, biographies, etc.
Angkor Dance Troupe
The Angkor Dance Troupe provides an essential service to the community not met by any other organizations. The Troupe is the only nonprofit cultural group in Lowell, MA, whose sole mission is to preserve the traditions of Cambodian performing arts. The Angkor Dance Troupe develops and teaches Cambodian dance, promotes an understanding and appreciation of Cambodian culture, and provides a positive social and educational outlet for Cambodian youth.
The Belvidere Neighborhood Association
Belvidere is a neighborhood of the City of Lowell bounded by the Merrimack and Concord Rivers to the North and West, by Boylston and Commercial Streets to the South, and by the Tewksbury/Lowell town line to the East.
Cambodian American League of Lowell (CALL)
Founded as a Community Development Corporation in response to the absence of targeted community and economic development assistance to Lowell's Cambodian community. CALL's primary focus is to promote homeownership among the Cambodian population through homeownership training and technical assistance and affordable housing development.
The Cambodian Mutual Assistance Alliance
The CMAA is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the Cambodian-American community of Greater Lowell and other ethnic minorities through education, cultural, social, community and economic development efforts.
Cameroonians of Lowell Association Inc.
CAMOLA is a registered non-profit organization with 501(c) status aimed at helping the growing population of Africans and Cameroonians in particular in and around the Greater Lowell area.
Career Center of Lowell
The Career Center of Lowell, under the guidance of the Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board, is a One-Stop Career Center. The Charter of the Career Center is to work closely with the business community to identify and meet their employment needs and to provide job seekers with a wide range of employment and training services.
The Child Care Circuit
This child care resource and referral agency covers Greater Lowell, as well as all of Cape Ann and the North Shore, down 128/95 to Stoneham, down 93 to the Tri-City area (Malden, Medford, Melrose), up 495 from Westford to the New Hampshire border including all of the Merrimack Valley, and Newburyport areas. Information services are provided free of charge to the general public; low cost parent training throughout the year at various locations is also available. As the Commonwealth's largest voucher management agency, The Child Care Circuit is able to connect parents with child care subsidies that some may not be aware are available.
The City of Lowell's Pollard Memorial Library
The Pollard Memorial Library is Lowell's gateway to knowledge, meeting the information needs and enriching the quality of life in our community. The mission of the library is to provide diverse collectons, state of the art technology, appealing programs and multiple services to Lowell's population.
City of Lowell Hunger/Homeless Commission
Our charter by the City of Lowell is to be an information clearinghouse for agencies in Lowell that serve the Hungry and Homeless. Once a month the Commissioners meet at City Hall to discuss critical issues around homelessness. Most members are Directors of pantries and shelters that volunteer their time to attand meetings.
Clean River Project
A non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning up the Merrimack River.
Coalition for a Better Acre
CBA is a not-for-profit community development corporation (CDC) providing economic development, real estate development, and resident empowerment to promote and support our community. CBA focuses on lower-income residents and struggling neighborhoods in Lowell. We build of affordable housing, provide foreclosure prevention and post purchase counseling at the Home Preservation Center at 450 Merrimack Street and run the Learning Zone, an afterschool homework program ( done in partnership with the Lowell Housing Authority) at 606 Market Street.
Community Gardens Greenhouse
The focus of the Community Gardens Greenhouse is on educational gardening workshops that encourage collaboration, creativity and innovation while fostering relationships that transcend ethnicity, character, class and age.
Special workshops, seminars and community forums on horticultural topics of specific issues will expose Lowell residents to the interconnection of horticulture, agriculture, politics, and health.
Community Teamwork, Inc.
This is Greater Lowell's Community Action Agency. It is committed to mobilizing resources for low-income people to become self-sufficient, alleviating the effects of poverty, and assisting low-income people to participate in the decisions that affect their lives. The services to teen parents and their children is intended to help the parents become self-sufficient, to alleviate the effects of poverty on themselves and their children, and to assist them to help decide the course of their lives.
Convention & Visitor's Bureau
The North of Boston VINS is part of the Massachusetts Visitor Information Network Service (MASS VINS). MASS VINS is a service of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, funded in part by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, as a part of a statewide Visitor Information system and administered by the Visitor Information Services Travel Alliance. The Family Connection PLAYGROUP
The Family Connection of Greater Lowell (TFC) is a non-profit parent-run organization designed to support families. All families welcome!
Our mission is to provide friendship,information, fun and recreation to families in the Greater Lowell area. In 1992 three families founded TFC Playgroup with the vision to provide a nurtuirng environment fro families. A place where families can socialize. A place where families can support each other in the task of raising their children. We also offer Field Trips, a Newsletter, and Outreach programs.

It is a metaphor for a City that envisions itself constantly growing, changing, and improving in partnership with City government, residents, businesses, and institutions and nurturing a vision of a sustainable future for Lowell's next generation.
Girls Incorporated of Greater Lowell
Girls Incorporated offers an innovative, research-based program in the out-of-school hours that values the potential of young people. Our philosophy and programming are designed to equip girls with valuable skills and resources, to prevent unhealthy behaviors, and to compensate for educational, cultural, and recreational activities our members frequently do not get at home or in school. We work with at-risk girls to boost their self-esteem, increase their interest in math, science, and technology, promote literacy, encourage them to get into sports, introduce them to money management and career development, reduce pregnancy risk, direct them away from drug use, and provide them with a variety of skills and interests that will help them positively in the future.
Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce
In January of 1995, a few concerned business people gathered to discuss forming a Chamber of Commerce to serve the Greater Lowell area. In just four short years, the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce has become the fastest growing organization in the region! Over 750 members strong, the Chamber serves as the Chamber of record for the towns of Chelmsford, Dracut, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, and Westford and for the city of Lowell, yet our membership spans across the State and into southern New Hampshire.
Greater Lowell Community Foundation
The Community Foundation works with local residents, nonprofit organizations and businesses to create permanent charitable and scholarship funds that distribute more than $1 million annually to meet community needs and build a better future for us all. We provide community leadership, strategic investments, and philanthropic services to help people support the causes they care about, now and for generations to come.
Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association (GLICA)
The Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association is a family orientated group of Native American Indians that come together to acknowledge and share their religion, culture, spirituality and traditions in accordance with the ways of their Ancestors. GLICA is composed of many different tribes of people from various Indian Nations. Our strength lies in our diversity and our ability to live in the present while holding on the past and looking forward to the future of our people. Tradition tells us that we are responsible for the next seven generations. That is to say that we must protect and pass on our traditions intact, in a lasting way for future Native American Indian People and future generations. With this in mind, we teach not only our own people our ways and customs but also non-native peoples who we hope will better understand us and respect our culture.
Greater Lowell Youth Hockey Association
The GLYHA is a non-profit organization serving Lowell, Dracut and Tyngsboro in organized youth ice hockey including learn to skate programs and travel hockey for ages 3 to 18.
Horizons for Homeless Children
The mission of Horizons for Homeless Children to improve the lives of homeless children and their families. Through our Playspace Programs we provide homeless children in Massachusetts with the nurturing, stimulation and opportunities for play that all children need to learn and grow in healthy ways. We install child-friendly playspaces in family homeless shelters and then staff those spaces with caring volunteers. A commitment of 2 hours per week is required for at least 6 months. Volunteer trainings are held regularly and are listed on our website.
Keep Lowell Beautiful
Keep Lowell Beautiful, Inc. (KLB), is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the beautification and cleanup of our All-American City. KLB's mission is to promote and foster the involvement of residents in litter reduction, beautification and proper solid waste management efforts. In addition, we work toward educating members of the community on litter reduction and its environmental impact. With 125 members, we are a growing organization reaching out to the community with a number of existing and future projects.
Lowell Adult Education Center
The Lowell Adult Education Center, part of the Lowell Public School System, provides residents of the Greater Lowell area with adult basic education instruction. We offer classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), and General Educational Development (GED). Morning classes are offered Monday through Friday at the Lowell Adult Education Center’s main location at 408 Merrimack Street across from the Pollard Memorial Library. Evening classes are offered Monday through Thursday at Lowell High School, 50 Fr. Morissette Blvd. Additionally, we offer adult basic education classes at ten other sites throughout Lowell. All classes are free to residents of the Greater Lowell Area.

The Lowell Center City Committee, Inc. is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership focusing on retail and commercial development, vehicle and pedestrian accessability, and quality of life issues for the business owners, residents, tourists, and property owners in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Lowell Community Health Center
Lowell Community Health Center serves as the family doctor for one in four Lowell residents and provides health care services regardless of one’s ability to pay. The health center is the one health care provider in Greater Lowell that offers Free Care or a sliding scale fee for services. LCHC has developed a national reputation for providing care in many languages and with a special sensitivity to cultural differences.

Our General Objective is to inspire young men and women, regardless of race, creed, religion or national origin to practice the ideas of Sportsmanship and Physical fitness. Program available for children 7 to 15 years of age, financial assistance is available. Registration begins February 2010 through July 2010. Program runs from August 2, 2010 to October 31, 2010.

LTC is a dynamic community media center located in the Historic Downtown Mill District of Lowell, Massachusetts. Heralded as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution, the City of Lowell has a long history of employing new technologies with an educated population of workers that understands them. Plant a Row for the Hungry
Plant a Row for the Hungry (PAR) originally came to Lowell with the Food Rescue Program founded by M/A-Com employees. The employees started a Plant a Row for the Hungry Campaign donating fresh produce to the food share. The M/A-Com food share eventually merged with the Merrimack Valley Food Bank becoming the Mobile Food Pantry for Elderly and/or Disabled Persons. This pantry delivers food to low-income elderly and disabled residents who are physically unable to leave their homes. The Plant a Row campaign drew to a conclusion. 
The Revolving Museum
The Revolving Museum is an evolving laboratory of creative expression for people of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities who seek to experience the transformative power of art. Through public art, exhibitions, and educational programs we promote artistic exploration and appreciation; encourage community participation and growth; and provide opportunities for empowerment and social change.
Shedd Park Baseball
The purpose of our organization is to provide an organized mechanism for youngsters in the neighborhood of Shedd Park to learn the game of baseball and to develop a spirit of teamwork and fair play while maintaining the highest standards of conduct and sportsmanship.
United Teen Equality Center (UTEC)
UTEC's mission is to be a "by teens, for teens" safe-haven for youth development and grassroots organizing. UTEC provides a safe and multicultural place of belonging emphasizing the holistic development of Lowell's young people, ages 13-23, particularly those most often overlooked and labeled as "at-risk." UTEC reaches out to these young people through intensive street outreach, builds upon their unique strengths within a youth development framework, and creates opportunities to best support them in becoming agents of social change and organizers in the community.
Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Lowell
The Visiting Nurse Association, founded in Lowell in 1909, provides home health care to persons of all ages throughout Greater Lowell. Services, delivered to the patient at home, include specialty nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health aide assistance, and medical social services. VNA Hospice of Greater Lowell delivers expert and compassionate end-of-life care to patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities.
