1782 Middlesex Street
The Lowell Planning Board will hold a public hearing to hear all interested persons relative to an
application by Basil and Joanne Karanastasis for Site Plan Review for a project located at 1782
Middlesex Street. The project proposes to raze two existing buildings currently on site; one building
operating as a beauty salon the other is a single family home. Redevelopment of the site includes a
7,500sqft commercial building and 19-space parking lot. The commercial building will hold 5 store
fronts each approximately 1,200sqft in size. The project is located in the RR (Regional Retail) zoning
district, and requires site plan review under Section 11.4 of the Lowell Zoning Ordinance.
40 Perkins Street
A Public Hearing will be held to hear all interested persons relative to an application by Perkins Ames,
LLC for site plan review for the development of property located at 40 Perkins Street. The proposal is a
modification of a previously approved site plan for the construction of a new multi-level parking
structure and renovation of the remaining portion of the site to provide a total of 372 parking spaces
serving the proposed apartments located at 21-39 Perkins Street. The site is located in the INST
(Institutional Mixed Use) zoning district. Site plan review is required under Section 11.4 of the Lowell
Zoning Ordinance.
229 Stedman Street
A Public Hearing will be held to hear all interested persons relative to an application by Daly General
Contracting, Inc. for site plan review for the development of property located at 229 Stedman Street.
The proposal includes the construction of a 17,040 square foot commercial building and 28 parking
spaces located at two separate lots. The commercial building will contain a parking/warehouse below
grade, office space on the 1st floor, and a 2nd floor mezzanine for storage. The site is located in the LI
(Light Industrial) zoning district. Site plan review is required under Section 11.4 of the Lowell Zoning
Ordinance.

108 Pine Street
The Planning Board will be taking up a review of updated plans for the Morey School project located at 108
Pine Street. The site plan was approved during the Planning Board meeting April 19, 2007 with a condition that
the dumpster and service entrance be moved from its originally proposed location on Morey Street to the front
of the building on Pine Street near the cafeteria. The Board will review the updated plan meets the intent of the
condition placed on approval
