Renewal Community
Portions of Lowell have been designated as part of the Renewal Community under the Internal Revenue Code (see map below). As a result of this special tax designation, qualifying businesses that are located and operate in the Renewal Community district are eligible for certain benefits and incentives under the federal tax code.
