Open Enrollment 5/2/11-5/31/11

Open enrollment is a once a year period when you can sign up for health, dental insurance if you did not enroll when you were first eligible, or if you need to add a spouse or dependent to your plan. Please be assured that there are NO plan changes being proposed at this time for any Medicare Supplement Plans.  If you are satisfied with your current coverage, you do not need to do anything as a result of this notice.

Non-Medicare & Employee Plans Increase by 5%

New premium rates have been announced. Most Medicare supplement plan premiums will NOT increase for July 1, 2011. The Managed Blue for Seniors HMO remains the least expensive option but rates will increase by 5% in FY12.   Delta Dental insurance premiums for the Basic Plan will increase by 1.5% in FY12. For subscribers who voluntarily choose to enroll in the High Option plan, rates will decrease by 11% due to lower than expected premium costs in FY11.

Representatives from Blue Cross Blue Shield and Delta Dental will be available to answer your questions.
