<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-right:-.5in'>The City of <st1:City w:st="on">Lowell</st1:City>’s
First Annual Vendor Fair was held yesterday, September 27, 2007 at the <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Stoklosa</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
 w:st="on">School</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> 
</span>A presentation was given to all attendees outlining the procurement
process. The City and School departments that purchase the most goods and
services were in attendance to answer questions. </p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-top:6.0pt;margin-right:-.5in;margin-bottom:
0in;margin-left:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'>P. Michael Vaughn, Chief Procurement
Officer/Purchasing Agent reports that the fair was a success.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'>  </span>The results of a brief survey revealed that
all respondents felt the fair met their expectations.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'>  </span>As well as learning about the procurement
process, vendors valued the opportunity to meet the key decision makers and the
ability to interact with the departments. </p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-top:6.0pt;margin-right:-.5in;margin-bottom:
0in;margin-left:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'>I thank the following City
departments as well as the School department for participating in the
