Household Hazardous Waste Day -HHWD-
Properly dispose of your household hazardous waste by bringing it to Cawley Stadium.  This event happens two times per year; once in the Spring and once in the Fall.  Click here for more information.
SPRING collection is scheduled for a Saturday, May 3rd, 2008.

Tire Collection

The City collects tires twice a year.
Once in the Spring and once in the Fall.
Both times, it occurs the week before Household Hazardous Waste Day.
The next HHW Day is Sat May 3, 2008...after that Sat Sept 27th, 2008.
That means that tires will be collected on 'your neighborhood trash day' the week of Mon Apr 28 thru Fri May 2nd.
The tires need to be on the curb by 7 am of trash day...no metal rims; limit of 4 / house.
It's best to call or email the week prior, so I can place your address on my collection list.
If you don't want to hold on to them until then, most tire centers will take them for a modest fee ($3-5 ea.)
 


City of Lowell Yard Waste Collection
This will begin on Mon. April 2, 2007 and continue through Fri. November 30th, 2007.  Yard Waste Collection days are the same as trash days.  Please place all Yard Waste in barrels or paper leaf bags.


Waste Oil Collection -- March through November, Monthly
The Waste Water Department is open on the 4th Saturday of each month, between 8am and 12:00pm, to receive your used motor oil.  You no longer have to wait for the next Household Hazardous Waste Day!  The Waste Water Department is located at 451 First Street Blvd, Rt 110.  Many people refer to this location as Duck Island.
