Doors Open Lowell, May 5-7, offers an insider's look into the preservation of over thirty of Lowell's fabulous historic buildings, many not usually open to the public. The event is FREE. Visit residential lofts in 19th century commercial buildings and textile mills where space is used in creative and funky ways. Rediscover civic and community buildings in which you'll find beautiful stained glass, decorative woodwork, and the key to Lowell's heritage. Also, don't miss Doors Unhinged!, an exhibition and silent auction of a whimsical collection of artistically enhanced doors created by the local artist community.
