George Ramirez was born in Colombia, South America, May 26, 1964.

He was elected to the Lowell City Council in 2005.

An attorney, he was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2001. He currently practices law in the area of worker's compensation.

Ramirez was educated at the University of Massachusetts (B.A., 1989); Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 1999).

Formerly, he was Conciliator and Assistant General Counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. 

Ramirez is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Greater Lowell Bar Association, MCLE (Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education).
