
Rodney Elliott resides in Pawtucketville with his wife Laurie (Machado). They have two daughters: Katelyn and Mikayla.
Rodney Elliott has been with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for over 14 years. He spent his first 3 years with the Agency at Headquarters in Washington DC as a Budget Analyst in the Comptroller’s Office. His last 11 years have been spent in the Boston-New England Office where he currently serves as a Special Assistant in the Regional Administrators’ Office working on public affairs, contracts and grants management. His experience also includes financial management, budget oversight, hazardous materials and emergency responder.
Prior to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Rodney served as the Administrative Assistant for the Town of Groton, Massachusetts, serving a three-member Board of Selectman. He was responsible for the operation and management of the Town’s $12 million budget. Rodney was also a City Planner for the City of Lowell for five years and Legislative Assistant for the Massachusetts State Senate for over six years.
Rodney Elliott has recently started his 11th year as a member of the Lowell City Council. He has served as Vice-Mayor. He has also served as Chairman of the Finance Subcommittee for the last eight years. He has also served as Chair of the Audit Oversight, Environment, and Technology and Information Management Subcommittees and is a member of the Public Safety, Zoning and several other subcommittees.
Rodney’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Plymouth State University, a Master of Public Administration degree from Suffolk University and a Master of Art degree in Political Science from Catholic University in Washington, DC.
