Notice of Public Hearing and Public Comment Period
A public hearing and 30-day public comment period will be held for all interested persons relative to Brownfields clean up activities and the Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) for property located at 86 Fay Street in Lowell. The City of Lowell was awarded $180,000 in grant funding from the EPA Brownfields program to be used for the clean up of this site.
The 30-day public comment period will run from Monday, July 2, 2012 to Wednesday, August 1, 2012. The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 6:00pm in the Arthur Hammar Conference Room, at the Department of Planning and Development, JFK Civic Center, 2nd Floor, 50 Arcand Drive, Lowell, MA 01852. Information relative to this project is available for public viewing at the Department of Planning & Development from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by contacting Sarah Brown, Environmental Officer, at 978-674-4252.
Interpreters for non-English speaking or hearing-impaired persons will be provided if requested at least four (4) days prior to the scheduled public hearing.
