The City of Lowell’s Downtown Historic District BetterBuildings grant program is issuing a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) in search of consultants and firms that have expertise in energy efficiency upgrades to historic buildings and building equipment. Experienced firms are invited to provide background information, credentials and description of relevant experience to the BetterBuildings Project team by downloading the RFQ or calling 978-446-7200.  Firms will be placed on a list of available resources for businesses and building owners to contact for assistance with:  ASHRAE Level 2 building energy audits, retro-commissioning studies, equipment design engineering, insulation and specialized roofing, lighting retrofits, HVAC equipment optimization, energy management system design, geothermal heat systems, window repairs and weatherization and air sealing. There will be an information session for interested vendors on Wednesday, February 23rd, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Mayor’s reception room, Lowell City Hall.
