Press Release - Public Works Department postpones Household Hazardous Waste Day
Due to impending inclement weather, the Lowell Public Works Department is postponing its semi-annual HHW Day, previously scheduled for this Saturday (9/27).
Severe weather forecast for this weekend has forced the cancellation of the City’s semi-annual Household Hazardous Waste Day, scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 27th 2008.
HHW Day has been rescheduled for Sat. Oct. 25 at 9:00 am.
- HHW Day will be at Cawley Stadium, enter only from Douglas Rd.
- Event opens to the public at 9:00 am and closes promptly at 1 pm.
- Lowell Residents only [ID will be required]. No commercial vehicles or loads.
- Bring herbicides, pesticides, waste motor oil, trans/radiator fluid, oil based paints, thinners, etc.
- Bring Mercury containing items: thermometers, thermostats, florescent bulbs and CFLs.
- Bring propane tanks and for ‘non-curbside trash & recycling customers’ bring CRTs.
- Do NOT bring Latex paint, tires, fireworks, explosives, medical waste.
