City of Lowell Activates Emergency Operation Center (EOC) 

Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020 the City of Lowell has activated its Emergency Operation Center (EOC). The EOC will serve to assist Lowell residents in situations related to coronavirus and to provide immediate responses to inquiries related to the situation. The center will provide Lowell residents with pertinent local information, resources, and updates regarding the status of coronavirus.  

The EOC will be staffed by City of Lowell trained employees representing several key departments including the Police Department, Fire Department, Health Department, and the City Manager’s Office and will be operational from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday until further notice. The EOC can be reached by phone at 978-674-4052.

Residents are encouraged to direct all calls regarding coronavirus to this line, including general questions about the virus, its symptoms, and best practices to avoid transmission, measures being taken locally in response to coronavirus, and guidelines to adhere to in the event that a resident or someone they have been in contact with has demonstrated symptoms of coronavirus.

Residents may also direct calls to a 2-1-1 line that has been activated by Governor Baker which is equipped to provide resources, and referrals in multiple languages
