Due to the pending storm, a Warming Center for all individuals is available at the Inn & Conference Center, 50 Warren St.
The Warming Center opens today, Sunday, February 22, and will remain open until further notice.
Please note that all Lowell Transitional Living Center (LTLC) rules and regulations apply while the Warming Center is open.
All are encouraged to be prepared for the extreme cold weather by:
• Staying indoors if possible.
• Avoiding outdoor exposure for extended periods and covering exposed skin. Please be aware that very cold temperatures can cause frostbite in as little as 15 minutes.
• Keeping pets indoors and checking paws for any signs of injury or damage.
• Looking in on neighbors when safe to do so, especially older adults and people with special needs.
• Notifying the Lowell 911 Center if you are aware of someone suffering from the cold and/or frostbite.
