Public Health at the Lowell Health Department includes the Public Health Nursing Division, an Epidemiologist, and a Community Health Outreach Worker.
According to the American Public Health Association, Public Health Nursing is defined as "the practice of promoting and protecting the health of populations using knowledge from nursing, social, and public health sciences."
