WINTER WEATHER: If City Hall is closed during clinic hours due to inclement weather, all vaccine appointments will be cancelled and no walk-ins will be accepted. Call 978-674-3999 or visit lowellma.gov to find out about closures.

Clinic hours

Tuesdays 4pm-7pm (last appointment at 6:45pm)

Walk-ins welcome. Registration encouraged.

Can't make it during our regular clinic hours? Call 978-674-4308 to speak with a Public Health Nurse.

With or without insurance:

  • Flu
    • Fluzone Quadrivalent Standard Dose
    • Fluzone Quadrivalent High Dose (recommended for individuals 65+)
  • COVID-19 (Updated 2023-2024 formula)
    • Spikevax (Moderna)
    • Comirnity (Pfizer)

Without insurance ONLY*:

*The following vaccines are available only for those who are UNINSURED or UNDERINSURED, meaning your health insurance does not cover vaccines.

  • Hepatitis A
    • Havrix - If you have insurance, please contact your primary healthcare provider or a local pharmacy for this vaccine.

Parking/directions

Enter 107 Merrimack through the main lobby, which is shared with Purple Carrot and the Army Recruitment Center. Follow signage for Vaccine Clinic.

Free parking is offered in the Joseph Downes Garage located at 75 John St, Lowell, MA 01852. Enter the garage and take a ticket. Ticket will be validated by clinic staff upon request at your appointment. Individuals with a handicap placard may park in any street parking spot for free. (Handicap placard MUST be displayed.)

Additional details

This is a free clinic. If you have health insurance, please bring your cards with you. If you do not have insurance, your vaccine will still be free. You will never receive a bill for a vaccine received at this clinic. You do not need an ID or other paperwork to receive a vaccine at this clinic. 

In-home vaccinations

If you are unable to leave your home and need a vaccine that we offer, contact us at 978-674-4308 to make an appointment with a Public Health Nurse.
