Project Scope: Improvements will include updating the tennis court area and striping for four (4) pickleball courts; resurfacing the basketball courts and replacing the hoops; applying sealcoat to both tennis and basketball courts (heat-resistant paint); and upgrading a portion of the playground with a new structure and Poured-In-Place rubber surfacing. Additional trees will also be planted.

September 2025

  • Construction fencing is up! The park is now closed as our contractor begins work.

July 2025

  • The contractor is working hard to complete a few other City of Lowell projects and plans to begin work on the sports courts at Father Maguire in September. The playground is currently expected to be constructed in the spring.

February 2025

  • DPD shared information about this and other ARPA-funded projects at Lowell Winterfest on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

November 2024

  • Contractor selected
