South Common Arboretum

The South Common Arboretum is part of the City's Urban Forest Initiative. The idea to create an arboretum at South Common came from the community as part of the 2010 South Common Master Plan. An arboretum is a place where many different trees are grown for study and display. The trees are tagged with their common and scientific names to serve as an educational tool. You can learn about some of the trees on display at South Common below.
